The 1990s were a turbulent time for my family and me. I can't say the decade was horrible because a lot of great things happened during that time. Our second and third children were born; I started working full-time as an actor, sold a children's book for a pretty good chunk of change, and made many new and important friends.
But I started the decade off getting very sick, which led to a lot of fear, which, as fear usually does, leads to many bad decisions. I wish I could go back and change some things, but I can't. I can write about them, however. I have a much better understanding of guilt, shame, and regret. I also have a better experience of grace, love, and forgiveness.
